Easy Ways To Save Big At The Grocery Store!

You really can save big with coupons!  Save your hard earned money and use it for things you enjoy like travel, entertainment or saving.

With a grocery store list, and some careful planning, you can save serious money on your weekly/monthly grocery bill.  Most of us deal with the major expense of our grocery budget as a no choice option--we have to buy groceries right?  Well what if you could cut your monthly grocery bill by 20-50%?  What could you do with that extra money?

In fact, I can show you how to save more money on your grocery bill than many make working part-time out of the home.  So, what if you could spend a little time to save a lot and no longer needed to work that part-time job?

Do I have your interest yet?

In my family of five, our grocery budget is one of our major expenses. Once you find a way to start cutting down on your grocery bill, that is then extra money that you are able to pay other bills with, save for that family vacation or cruise or start that emergency fund to save for a rainy day.  With the changes and the previous downturn in the economy, many people have struggled finding a good job, many are currently counting on EBT benefits or what used to be called food stamps.  With a little bit of planning, you can save some major money on your groceries every month.  Lets get to work on saving you some money!

Don't assume that Walmart is always the cheapest place to shop.  Often that is not the case.  I love Walmart but I shop where the deals are and the best deals are not always at Walmart.  Find the two closest grocery stores to you.  Sign up online for their discount cards if they have them and/or email alerts to receive coupons. Shopping two or more stores can save you significant money.  That is because every store has a different weekly sale (except Walmart).  When you take the time to look at the sales and plan your meals according to what is on sale, you will find the savings can be significant.  I make sure to take a look at the Winn-Dixie, Walmart, Target and Publix flyers every week.  I use my black sharpie marker and I circle all the sale items that interest me and are a good price.  I look for what is on sale Buy One Get One FREE (BOGO) that I can stock up on until the next sale too.

I always make a list of the meals I am going to make during the week based on what is on sale.  One day I may decide on a rotisserie chicken.  The next day I may choose to use the leftovers to make a chicken potpie.  Planning out your meals is a great way to maximize your savings and save you extra trips at the grocery store.

You can also search online for your favorite store that you shop at and "coupon matchups". (Example: "Publix coupon matchups) Coupon matchups are lists that show what is on sale at your store and links to the coupons you can print to get the deal.  One blog I like to go to for Publix, is called IheartPublix.com. This site offers a weekly list of what is on sale with links to the coupons that are available.  Another is My3SonsMom.com that offers deals on everything.  One of the reasons I like to shop at Publix is that they accept competitor coupons.  They will accept one store coupon and one manufacturers coupon for each item.  If that item is on sale buy one get one free and you have a manufacturer and store coupon for each item, you will get that item very inexpensive or maybe even free.

By always having a list when you shop and carefully shopping when things are on sale, you will see how much farther your grocery dollars can take you.  You can also do the same with SNAP benefits (food stamps) to help them go farther with the EBT benefit recent cutbacks.   Purchasing groceries for your family can be expensive, this is a way to make it more affordable.  :-)
